Compensatory Off
What is Compensatory Off?
These are leaves that an employee can avail if they have worked on a holiday or a non-working day.
Who can file for Compensatory Off?
CTO are usually filed by employees who wanted an offset on their worked holidays in exchange of unworked (but paid) regular day.
This can also be availed by employees who worked during their non-working day or worked extra hours from their actual working hours and client wishes to approve a Compensatory Off instead of paying for overtime/rest day pay.
How to file for Compensatory Off?
Go to Zoho People > Leave Tracker service > My Data tab > Compensatory Request tab > Add Request.
Upon clicking Add Request, your employee name will be auto-populated.
For WORKED DATE, kindly choose the date that you wish to file for compensatory request (the date you worked during your holiday/week-end/day you worked for extra hours). Once you enter the date, Attendance Details will then be auto-populated with your attendance for that day.
If you have worked on your holiday/weekend, choose DAYS for unit. While if you worked for extra hours, choose HOURS for unit. As well as for Duration, kindly choose what is appropriate.
Expiry Date will also be auto-populated, so no need to change/edit anything.
Then, indicate in REASON the reason/explanation on why you are filing for CTO.
After all the details have been filled, click SUBMIT.
NOTE: You have to file for CTO only after you were able to have an attendance on the worked holiday/weekend or after your check-out for extra hour worked. This is for your Attendance Details to be auto-populated by the system.
After you have submitted your Compensatory REQUEST, your BDM/TL will then be notified for their approval of your request.

A follow-up email will be automatically sent to your Approver one (1) day after your request if it has not yet been approved.
Once they have approved your compensatory request, you will receive a notification and your Compensatory Off leave credit will automatically be added on Available on your Zoho People.
Kindly refresh the page so you will be able to see your Compensatory Off leave credit.
You can then proceed in filing your Compensatory Off like how you would normally file for any other leaves.

Compensatory Offs would also be subject for approval from your BDM/TM.
