Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Phone Number Update

If you have recently changed your phone number, you should update it on both Zoho People and Zoho Accounts.

To Update in Zoho People:

  1. Go to the Zoho People website.
  2. From the Home dashboard, click on Self-service tab on the left side bar.




  1. Click on Edit to update your Mobile Phone number under Personal section, then click on Submit.







To Update in Zoho Accounts:

  1. To access Zoho Accounts, you can:
  1. go to the Zoho Accounts website or;
  2. from Zoho People Home Dashboard, click on your Photo found on the top right, then click on My Account.



  1. Under the Multi-Factor Authentication tab found on the left side bar, go to MFA Modes under SMS-based OTP, then click + Add Number.


    



  1. Input your latest mobile number, then click Add.




  1. Wait for a text message from your phone to input the one-time password (OTP) for verification, then click Add.




  1. Once successful, click on View N more number/s.




  1. Hover on your latest phone number, click on Set as Preferred Number, then click on Confirm.



  1. To delete your old phone number, click on View N more number/s and hover on it again, then click on Delete.



Important Note:

SMS-based OTP Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) cannot be disabled as it is part of the Security Policies.
