If you have recently changed your phone number, you should update it on both Zoho People and Zoho Accounts.
To Update in Zoho People:
- Go to your Zoho People profile.
Click on the ellipsis (three dots) button on the right side of the page, then View Profile.
Click on the pencil icon (Edit) to update your Mobile Phone number under Personal section, then click
✓.
To Update in Zoho Accounts:
- To access Zoho Accounts, you can:
- go to the Zoho Accounts website or;
from Zoho People Home, click on your Photo found on the top right, then click on My Account.
- Under the Multi-Factor Authentication tab found on the left side bar, go to MFA Modes under SMS-based OTP, then click + Add Number.
- Input your latest mobile number, then click Add.
- Wait for a text message from your phone to input the one-time password (OTP) for verification, then click Add.
- Once successful, click on View N more number/s.
- Hover on your latest phone number, click on Set as Preferred Number, then click on Confirm.
- To delete your old phone number, click on View N more number/s and hover on it again, then click on Delete.

As part of our Cyber Security policies, Zoho OneAuth must remain enabled and serve as the primary Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) method. SMS-based OTP is permitted only as an alternative mode. Disabling Zoho OneAuth is strictly prohibited to ensure compliance and maintain account security.
