How to Compute your 13th Month Pay?

All employees regardless of their designation or employment status who have worked at least one month during the calendar year are entitled to a 13th-month pay.


The 13th month’s pay shall be in the amount not less than 1/12 of the total basic salary earned by the employee within the Calendar Day.

Sample: Let’s say an employee’s basic salary is Php15,000 per month and had worked for 10 months, the 13th-month computation is:


(Php 15,000.00 X 10 months) / 12= Php 12,500.00


Please note that the total amount of Tardiness, Absences, and Undertime for the year will also be deducted from the 13th Month Pay computation.


Sample: Let’s say an employee’s basic salary is Php 15,000.00 per month and had worked for 6 months with an annual total of unpaid leave/tardiness/undertime of Php 2,000.00, the 13th-month computation is:
